Before Willow Creek Stables were built, there was a huge forest, a large creek, with clear water, and willow trees, that drapped beautifuly. (How name was picked...hehe) Wild horses enjoyed this place, they roamed the area, until they started disappering, one by one. It soon increased, and none were left, no one knows what happened to them. Soon the land was buldosed, they left part of the forest, the Willow trees, and the creek. They turned this area and the land around it in to country.
The land sat there awhile un-bought, until someone heard they were going to drai nthe creek and fill it in, and take the rest of the trees out. That's when it was bought. Mrs. Annabelle Katch bought the entire two-hundred acers. She alredy owned a farm but it was to small now. She hired people to build on her acers of land. there was soo na house, a small barn, a medum barn, and a large one. There were pastures, with the willows in them ,and the creek running through. She also built a out-door riding ring, and in the lagre barn a in-door ring was put.
Mrs. Katch soon fell ill and she left the stable's to her daughter Elizabeth Katch. Elizabeth had to move from california, all the way to Verginia. Whe nshe got there she found out her mother passed away. Liz had a look around the place, and saw there was still a horse there. No one thought about checking for horses. It was her mom's horse, Merlin. She alredy knew much about horses, and he looked really skinney. After she'd finished moving her stuff in ,and brought Merlin back to good health, she decided to re-open Willow Creek Stables.
